Meet the Trainers!

Here are the trainers working alongside Kay, to deliver the very best in classes for you and your dog!
Kay uses only force-free methods to train and her tag line is ‘I like to train with the brain – not pain’!
Kay Attwood - Owner
Kay is the founder and owner of Kay9 Services, a very successful Dog Training school, recommended by many - offering an array of weekly classes, workshops and lectures to members of the public as well as other dog training professionals.

In recent years, Kay has been invited to bring her hugely popular workshops (Platforms, Cognitive Skills, It’s Fun to Focus, and ‘Top of The Class’ Games for Classes) all over Britain and has been invited to speak at prestigious conferences worldwide as a result. She was recently invited to New Zealand as a speaker at a prestigious dog training event.

Kay received the honorary ‘KCAI Dog Trainer of the Year Award’ for 2018, which was presented to her in a glorious ceremony at Crufts 2019. Kay is an accredited Victoria Stillwell dog trainer and mentor, full member of the Pet Professional Guild, PPG webinar presenter and a member of the committee for the Registration Council for Dog trainers and Behaviourists.

Miriam Morris
Dogs have been at the centre of my life for as long as I can remember. I have been lucky enough to live and work with a wide variety of different dogs; from family pets, show dogs, rescue dogs and even a blood hound pack!

I graduated with Distinction from the Victoria Stilwell Academy for Dog Training and Behaviour (VSA). Joining VSA, and being taught by Victoria herself, has been one of the most fantastic experiences of my life. Learning force-free, positive, training from Victoria means that all of my own work with dogs is grounded on the most up to date, science-based methods. As part of the VSA course I was mentored by Kay.

I attended classes, private consultations and workshops with Kay, ensuring my academic learning was backed up with ‘real life’, hands on, experience.

I have my own 11-year-old beagle, Ella, with whom I have taken part in TD Rally and the Kennel Club Good Citizen Award scheme. I also own two horses and have competed to National level in Dressage.
Claire Warren
Claire has been with Kay9 Services since the very beginning and is one
of the main contacts for the company, dealing with admin and all bookings.

Claire has her own rescue dogs, Molly and Taylor and has has various other rescues over the years.

Claire has taken a few courses in dog training and attended many seminars up and down the country to extend her knowledge further.
Kathie Soane
Kathie is pictured here with Puzzle her latest Rottweiler, a breed that Kathie is very familiar with, having owned them all her life.

Puzzle is now 3 years old, but Kathie has owned her since she was 9 weeks old. They still attend Kay9 Services classes, because she and Puzzle enjoy their time together, learning about each other, with lots of activities.

Puzzle also does scent training classes and goes swimming regularly, as these are activities that Puzzle adores.

Kathie and Puzzle do many activities together, including man-trailing, a relatively new dog sport.
